End of Fresno Happiness

On the last day of Fresno I went in for another dress fitting (can't put the pictures on here because that boy of mine reads it) but mom and I also went down to the Tower district looking for the decorator's office on the off-chance that she would be there (she wasn't). But I think I want to take some wedding pictures here. I think it would be cute and vintage-y. What do you think?

I finally got to see Spencer in a play which was really fun. He's a good little actor/singe/dancer. What a triple threat! In the last scene he came out in some silky kissy pajamas. Hot dang!

And I got to see these cute girls!! : )

Here's a pic of my new room. Not as big as the old room, but it fits a queen sized bed/desk/bedside table/bookcase/stacking drawer things a-okay. Even if it doesn't look super nice. I really hope I can make mine and Dan's future apartment look like a real home instead of a college apartment. I reeeeeeally gotta start growing up and at least pretending that I can decorate like an adult : )

A Picture A Day, or every other...

Florida oranges? How about oranges from the backyard? Yeah that's what I thought.

All of the previous pictures are from my Grandad and Marcie's backyard. They like to grow things, and they have green thumbs (a trait which I do not possess). The last picture is of my front yard. Who wouldn't want to live in California?! I just realized that this is my first California spring in 4 years. I missed it. The blossoms, the smells, the vibrant colors, the way everything is racing out of the ground to see the sun. Oh California, my heart is yours forever, no matter where else I live and how much I love it there, I think in my heart I will always be a California girl.

A Picture A Day... or two

62* and sunny with a slight breeze? yes please!
I laid out a towel to stretch on after a jog and this is what I saw. Beautiful!

Movin' on up!

So this last weekend, was crazy. I had a really dumb 8 page paper to write. Then Dan and I moved some of my stuff on Thursday night and on Friday he and Julie waited around while i freaked out about my paper and then finished the moving with two more trips. I am absolutely exhausted. My skin is screaming for rest and my eyes have lovely bags underneath them. Hopefully this week while I'm at home I'll be able to get some rest and relaxation so I can go back to feeling like my normal happy not exhausted self.

I'm super excited to be living with the wonderful Julie Mack. She's my NYC BFF and it will be really nice finishing out my singlehood living with a friend. And I get to sleep in a queen sized bed all by myself!! : ) pretty stoked about that one. It'll be good times to be sure with Julie.

Today and Friday I get to go in for wedding dress fittings : ) and tomorrow I'm getting a hair trim and doing a couple of tests for the wedding day : ) and I'm finalizing invitations, figuring out decorations a little bit more and doing all sorts of wonderful wedding crazy-ness! it will be fantastic I'm sure.

P.S. Sorry if the post doesn't make much sense, I'm still in the process of recuperating...

Weekend Musings

We like animal crackers. The perfect blend of salt and sweet. We found a crazy animal in our latest box.

Dan's paparazzi shot

Playing at the park

"Clever girl" name that movie!

Cute boy : )

So this weekend was a little stressful. Dan and I are just realizing that we have a whole lotta stuff to do. We both have papers due this week. I'm moving to my friend Julie's apartment. I'm flying home on Sunday. We need to start looking at apartments. He needs to start applying for jobs. I need to start studying for my licensing test and possibly applying for a job. And then there is that little event called the wedding that we still need to figure out partially. Sigh until July 11th, our lives are just gonna be crazy!

Surprise!

Guess what I arrived home to tonight? I walk in, turn on my light, go to open my bedroom door and who should scamper in before me?
Yeah that's right, one of these big guys! It wasn't one of the little ones, but a great big couple inches long ones that run so fast you don't know where it's gonna go! It came out of my room thank goodness, but then it went down the wrong way in the hall so we couldn't sweep it out into the main floor area (real nice for our neighbors right? but we wanted it gone!) Melissa and I screamed bloody murder for a bit and then it went into the open bedroom in our apartment. Problem with that? The door is locked and we can't get in. So we put a bunch of rags in front of the gap between the door and the floor (like that will stop it) and we're leaving on the hallway light all night long. It was not the excitement I was hoping to come home to at 10pm! Sigh... I HATE roaches.
