Observations

At present I'm stuck in the dallas airport. This being my first experience with Texas, I have some observations.

1. The airport in general and all food places (even mcdonalds) smell like BBQ. Texas apparently loves their BBQ.
2. They have a little room specifically for veterans/service people. They love their troops!
3. There is a chapel, with a check in. God is watching yooooou!

So far, texas is interesting : )

Hot Dogs anyone?

Here are the hot dogs...
And here are the wiener's who tried to eat as many as possible in 2 minutes!
In the process...
Dan didn't eat the most hotdogs, but he made sure he was the grossest!
The aftermath.
It was a solid finish to an All-American weekend.

Next up, 7 more days until I'm in CALIFORNIA!!! Woot Woot!

4th of July

On Sunday we met up for desserts with some friends and then watched the huge fireworks display on the Hudson from a rooftop.
It was pretty sweet even though we were at least 5 miles away
But being that far and not being able to hear the loud pops and booms does take away some of that fireworks magic.
The real magic though came Monday night, when with the same friends we had a hot dog eating contest. Dan of course was the most disgusting.

I'm so proud of my boy.

All American Weekend

What do you have to do to make a weekend all American? Well, go to a baseball game of course!
Friday night we took the ferry over to Staten Island and watched a baseball game. I generally like going to these games because Dan doesn't care all that much so I can actually get him to chat and play with me throughout the game unlike watching a real Yankee's game.
However! Friday night, the SI Yankee's were struggling. So we were bored.
You see that score board? 1 hit each in the first inning and NADA all the way up to the bottom of the 10th when our team scored and won finally! The crowd was getting pretty antsy.
But the spectacular fireworks show at the end made up for it!
We were so close, it was ridiculous!

That was just the beginning of the All American weekend!

Update

Flowers the husband bought the next day because he "liked the color." They were very bright and happy : ) and are now dead probably somewhat because of dying them electric orange.

Umm update on the ER thing...

My ankle was totally fine. I eventually begged to go to the bathroom after sitting for about 2 hours on a gurney tucked away where no one could find me. I could put all my weight on it and walked fine. As for the fainting, I peed in a cup and they did a pregnancy test and....

NOT pregnant!

I'm such a tease ; )

So I don't know why I fainted. I still think it's somewhat stress related (work is trying to destroy me from inside out now) and probably the heat and walking around outside all day and going in nasty homes cause my job is awesome.

So yeah didn't want you to worry : )
