This week I was chatting with the girls at work and one of them said "Maddie, you're such a Betty, you were born in the wrong era!"And it's true.
I would absolutely love it if I could stay home and clean/decorate the apartment, cook, plan meals, go to the gym, read, do little projects etc. I definitely hope to be able to stay home once we have kids (at least while they're little) but even without kids, I would love to be a little housewifey!
I do think I would get bored fairly frequently... I would probably spend waaaaay too much money because I'd always be making excuses to get out of the apartment and go shop... and I probably wouldn't be as productive because I'd have too much time on my hands...
So it's probably better that I'm not just sitting around the apartment. But a girl can dream right? : )
Anyone else dream of being a housewifey or am I an ridiculous anti-feminist?

Best job ever! Although I am definitely not bored. Oh wait, I have to little entertainers to keep me busy. It's a very fun job.
I don't think that makes you an anti-feminist since feminism means doing what you know is right for you! Reminiscent of Mona Lisa Smile. :) I love the cooking too...Much love!

I ditto Rachel...the whole point of the feminist movement is to allow women the opportunity to choose their own path. If that means a high power career in a "man's world" or a career as a stay-at-home mom or homemaker, then it's her choice. The cool thing is, the choice. It used to be that women didn't have the freedom to choose, so enjoy whatever career path you choose.
