Crazy Weather!

This weekend starting on Friday afternoon, we had absolutely nutso weather! The problem was the combination of sucky weather. It's one thing if it's raining or windy, but to have both together? Que terrible! While it was in the 40's so not too cold, the wind was at 25mph with rain. Not a ton of rain, but it was definitely wet! It's the kind of weather where you can't use an umbrella (as evidenced in the photo below). When the wind is that intense, you're just going to end up with a mangled piece of wire and material.
I think there are about 4 umbrellas in that trash can? What do you think?

On Saturday we decided we should probably get out of the apartment at least once and to quote Mr. Thomson "It's probably not that bad outside. It just sounds bad because we're up high and on a corner, ya know?" Ooooookay Mr. Thomson, I'll trust you!

We walked down about 9 blocks to go to Subway for lunch. Very windy, but not too bad because the wind was helping us on our way. We go to the grocery store to pick up a few things while we're out. Hmmmm is it just me or is it starting to rain more? We leave the grocery store. WTF!? It feels like hurricane weather! We walk back (uphill no less) to the apartment 9 blocks and by the time we got home our pants/coats/hats/gloves were completely soaked because we didn't bring umbrellas due to the wind (they wouldn't have helped anyways).
